Indo American Education Society (IAES), a non
profit organization is
an education USA information Centre. IAES is also registered under
Charitable Trust Act and has received a certificate from
Income Tax Department to grant exemption to contributors
u/s 80(G) of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
IAES is one of the education USA Information Centre of
USEFI set up in 1950 as a binational organisation to
administer the Indo US Fulbright Exchange program, which undertook in the
mid sixties the responsibility of providing Educational Advising
Services in the 4 metropolitan
cities of India. Being one of the 500 plus advising Centers
supported by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs
(ECA), US Department of State, IAES gets the following tangible
support from the Department.

University catalogs. 3. Test preparation
material. 4. Updates on the admission and visa procedures. 5. Professional Development training for the Counselor and other staff. 6. Participation in the conferences. 7. Equipments.
Launch of IAES-USEFI
Satellite Center :
The society was launched as a
USEFI Satellite Center on July 4, 1999. The launch was
attended by Dr P J Lavakare, the then Executive Director of
USEFI, New Delhi; Ms Kathleen Alam, Regional Educational
Advising Co ordinator, US State Department- South Asia; Dr
Howard Spodek, Professor, Temple University, USA and Ms
Rekha Kalle, Educational Adviser & Office in charge,
USEFI, Mumbai .
Our
Center caters to the requirement of the students from major cities
of Gujarat. Our membership base consists of students from all over Gujarat including Baroda, Gandhinagar, Nadiad, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Rajkot, Bhavnagar , Mehsana, Palanpur, Modasa and of course Ahmedabad.
Since inception, our Center has shown steady growth
in terms of the number of students utilizing the Center’s facilities.
Within a span of 9 years, more than 3200 members of our
Center have gone to the United States for higher studies in various US Universities
including Stanford, Carnegie Melon, Pennsylvania State University,
University of Michigan- Ann Arbor, Purdue University, University
of Texas – Austin, North Carolina State University and several others.
